We've made progress!

Hurrah,

For two reasons:

a) mulled wine
b) the recording of full band demos

So we set up with our chum Erik on sunday night and recorded 6 songs that are up for inclusion on disc one of our new EP 'Oftentimes':

Jacob - Instrumental inspired by a mythical(?) tv character who lives in a shed that moves. Possibly through time travel.

She's got a shooter - An 8 minute epic about dissarming your loved one. We often end with this.

I can feel his heartbeats - The single, the 3 minute, throw away, pop sensation of 2009.

Our bodies - A love song. Huge sounding, almost uplifting, with a beautiful trumpet melody in the chorus.

You cut me out - A dark, brooding, elbow-esque 6 minutes of balladry.

Unitled, unfinished new song - Math pop meets Sigur Ros. Get your dancing shoes on for this one. You're gonna wanna boogie!

It's all still a bit rough around the edges, but it's certainly getting there.

Hopefully this keeps us on schedule for a May/June release...

Home of the G

Checkin' it,

We are playing in the Hobgoblin in Staines on 15th March. Put it in your diaries!

We had some pictures taken on monday night. Make up and everything. Jack looked like he'd been hanging out with the Topshop crowd, all orange cheeks he was! Pics to follow next week I believe.

In other news, if you live in Reading you should make your way down to the Oakford Social Club on Sunday. Fan Farlo and Godwits are playing, both are stupidly good, it's free. I hope to be there. With bells on.

Oh yeah, and we've named the new record. We just need to finish writing it.
